DAY 01: Dhaka to Chittagong.
Tonight you will catch train/bus to travel to Chittagong, arrive in the morning & receive you.
DAY 02: Chittagong to Ruma.
After breakfast, travel to Ruma via Bandarban on a smaller hilly road, arrive at Ruma Ghat to board a small traditional wooden boat that will take us up the Sangu River to Ruma Bazar. At this time of year there will be little water in the river. This is a very small, interesting and ‘relatively’ important riverside market inhabited by Bawm tribal people. In Ruma we’ll stay at a local guest house & will take dinner at the Bawm tribal house.
DAY 03: Ruma to Boga Lake.
In the morning you’ll take a 5-6 hours trek up a creek valley. On reaching the last section, the valley will narrow and you’ll have a short climb up the foothill and have some very nice views. You’ll halt for lunch in Boga Lake and mingle in this small and friendly Bawm village.Will stay in the tribal guest house.
DAY 04: Boga Lake to Thaikiyan Para.
This morning we’ll take a 6-7 hours trek to Thaikiyan Para & on the way pass the Keokradong which is the 2nd highest peak of Bangladesh & also we’ll pass Darjeeling Para (One of the highest villages of Bangladesh). Take rest in the Keokradong & again start trekking to Thaikiyan Para, Overnight at Tribal house.
DAY 05: Thaikiyan Para to Baklai Para.
This morning we’ll take a 6/7 hours trek to Bhaklai Para on the way. You will see a nice view & visit tribal village, overnight at the Tribal village.
DAY 06: Baklai Para to Serkor Para.
Today we will visit the peak of Tazing dong, the highest mountain of Bangladesh. In the morning you take an
easy forest walk to explore the local flora and fauna, halting at a few other villages to see their traditional agriculture, handicrafts of weaving, basketry, gourd making, etc. Overnight at either Serkor Para or Boarding Para.
DAY 07: Serkor Para to Thanchi
We take leave from village hosts in the morning and gradually trek to Thanchi. It’s a small important market on the bank of Sangu River. On the way you’ll be able to visit some Mru villages and interact with them. Overnight at Local guest house.
DAY 08: Thanchi to Dhaka via Chittagong.
In the morning drive to Chittagong via Bandarban after lunch you will catch train/bus travel back to Dhaka.
