Guide will come to pick you up at 8:30AM, and leave Dhaka for Sonargaon, on the way we shall take our first stop in Nawapara Jamdani village. Where the magic fingers are at weaving traditional Jamdani sar, which is an incredible artwork unfortunately disappearing. Continue drive to old capital of Bengal. Sonargaon was the countries first capital about 30km south eastern direction besides the Dhaka Chittagong highway. In its prime time the ‘Golden City’ was also an important river port and the trading center for the world-famous muslin cloth. The remains of a number of mosques, tombs, stupas and a bridge in Panam Nagar, the Shiv Mandir (Hindu temple) and the well-maintained Folk Art Museum are well worth visiting. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Sonargaon area and continue drive to Buiddyer Bazar. Here we take a country boat for couples of hour cruise on Meghna (One of the Major River in Bangladesh, came from India) River for couples of hours. I am sure that you will be very interested to explore the primitive Char village life. Char is a temporary sandy island, formed by the river erosion. There are thousands of chars in Bangladesh up from northern part till to the south coast. This char can be disappeared by flooding, high tide or by any natural disaster or so… Life in the char is very limited; access to medical care center and education is very tough, impossible in some areas. Normally we start this trip by 8 am and you will return to Dhaka in the late afternoon.
